I wouldn't think it's an induced voltage.
Defective transformer is the likliest cause I reckon.
I haven't had time to check much further but I haven't been able to repeat the fault since I first witnessed it.
I've just noticed an odd problem.
I have 2x 12v downlighters in a small room.
On the same circuit, in my living room there are 12x 12v downlighters connected to two dimmable transformers.
The attached load is well within the limits of both the transformers and the dimmer switches that control...
The load that I wanted to put through the dimmer was 420w, which I thought might have been ok as manufacturer's ratings tend to err on the side of caution, wishful thinking perhaps.
The common consensus doesn't recommend this so I decided to play it safe and went with a 240w max load.
Hi-
Does anyone know where I can get replacement faceplate screws.
I need them for a couple of brushed staintless Legrande faceplated.
They're the tiny ones that come in a small plastic packet inside the faceplate packet.
-Thanks
I've got some Legrand dimmer modues, 7354-46.
They are rated at 300w but with the setup that I have I'd really like to use one of them on a circuit with a load of 420w.
I've read before that MK dimmers can handle 200% of their rated load.
Anyone know how much these Legrand dimmers can handle...
Does anyone have any photos of installs done in living rooms?
I'm starting to think I'll take a chance and go down this route.
It's something I haven't seen done too often and sure makes for easier work than trying to line out
18 downlighters to fit between joists.
How did this work out for you?
I'm about to do up my own living room and I'm considering using JCC track lighting.
I was considering running it in a rectangle shape, about 750mm out from the walls.
The room is about 8 metre x 3.5 metre.
Hi.
Just to clarify, I mean cavity blocks, e.g. http://www.dme.co.za/sites/site1/images/Brick_Simulation/rockface_block_M6.jpg.
The house is a 70s build.
I have put in some of the chases but when I went to put it a box I broke through to the hollow of the box.
I fixed wood inside the block as...
I need to run new wiring down a cavity block wall.
It is possible for me to chase it but it doesn't seem like a good idea.
What options are available to me?
I loathe surface mount and will do pretty much anything to avoid if.
-Thanks
