fluorescent lights

Am I right in thinking that when fitting fluorescent lights instead of using a ceiling rose to make the connections as it would be exposed do you use a 4-way junction box instead? Ment to ask in my course but forgot. Thanks in advance

hi all, I have asked this before but still not sure, when calculating v.d on fluorescent/discharge circuits do you include the 1.8 factor in the calc or is this just for cable current rating e.g is it like motors where you are allowed a bigger vd on startup, but size the cable on the rating...

Fluorescent lights on plug & socket

I have just been in a small building which is an amusement arcade, some time in the past a suspended ceiling has been fitted with four sets of small flourescents plugged into one of the ring main sockets using a normal BS1362 plug. Although not an ideal set up I cant really see in the regs that...

How many 4ft x 4 fittings can I put on a two way switch. Obviously induction plays a part here.
