I was wondering, are BS88 fuse boards still used on some new installations especially industrial and even commercial. And if so would that be ok with the regulations or not because its not retrospective. I know they are quite outdated and its hard to find a electrical wholesaler selling BS88...

So apparently we're not allowed to lurk on here anymore, some bloke (I think) called Dan keeps bugging me to introduce myself. I mean it's not like I'm hiding in a bush waiting to jump out on someone wearing a clown outfit (whatever the hell that crap is all about) but to keep him happy...
This is what my assessor has told me!
He states that the BS3036 does not meet the 0.4s disconnection times and cannot be used for any new work.
I do not have a BRB so cannot see the disconnection times for a 3036.
Surely he is wrong? He is suggesting that we have to change the 3036 if we want...
As a favour to my local village school i have been doing the pat testing.
The council phoned the head and said she needs to do a risk assessment for the frequency of testing fare enough.
I said i would help her do this but the council have come back saying that i cant and i cant do the testing...
