Strage Supply Reset Problem

I got a call today from a pub who seem to have a strange little thing going on, but can't quite work out what it is. They have a toaster in the kitchen and when turned on the electrical supply is disconnected. Fair enough so far, obviously something like an earth fault in the toaster we would...

Resetting an RCD

I was just testing our RCD here at home. I pressed the test button and the switch tripped. I can't reset it now however. Seems like there's 3 positions for this switch. Up, middle and down if that makes sense. Any ideas how to reset it.

rcd with automatic reset

I saw this interesting device in a gewiss catalogue.Called restart.Its an rcd which resets itself after testing that there is no insulation damage to the cables.It also performs a weekly trip test on the device,without dropping power to the installation.No idea on the price.
