In my 1980s rewired French home, I had it earmarked for a new consumer unit since we moved in.
A week ago one of the original fuse carriers melted when a wire went resistive, and the smell was appalling. So the whole creature has been refurbished.
My challenge is to join the RCB unit, (well three of them as this is 3 phase) one to each bus bar.
The bus bar (now) has compliant twin pole MCBs fitted not UK single pole.
You can buy here small cable coated screw in joints for 60 amp wiring, they just seem too small and too close together for my liking.
And yes, the bus bars wont slot neatly into the RCB!
Any suggestions or thoughts most welcome?
thanks
Ken
