I am trying to put a 5ft fluorescent light in a garden office on a Dimmable switch. I got standard 230v light fitting which requires a T8 lamp. I did get a Dimmable halogen t8 lamp and put it on a standard dimmer switch but unfortunately it is flickering when dimming.

does anyone know a Solution for this?? Is it the dimmer or the lamp?

i have been looking for a Dimmable LED T8 tube lamp but can’t seem to get them anywhere.

if anyone knows a Solution to this it would be much appreciated as trying to get this done ASAP.

Fluorescent lamps can be dimmed with a digital ballast, which would mean changing the control gear within the fitting you have.
But really? A garden office? Why do you need to dim the lighting?
Edit, post crossed with Freddo's

I said the same thing but the customer wants it.
Okay so changing to a digital ballast will work with a Dimmable lamp and standard dimmer switch?
