Was very impressed with the combi drill in this kit had it for years before it burnt out but I ended up back with my trusty old makita. snapped up a combi for a bargain and burnt the motor out just over a year later

Well this is the replacements

I do like blue Bosch seems a bit daft to go down that route though when I have so many dewalt batteries just lying aboutI prefer the blue Bosch myself, some of my lads swear by dealt though.
I got these and some hand tools thrown in for 260+vat same kit on amazon at 299.99 inc vatNot a fan of DeWalt . But I love a kit . What price did you get it for
I think both hilti and Milwaukee are overpriced for what they are
Makita are excellent but I’ve always felt them to be lacking either in weight or performance Bosch and dewalt on the other hand I’ve always used and never had a problem with apart from the last combi drill self destructing just over a year laterwhen I was an apprentice I got a full dewalt XRP kit with the circ saw jig saw recip saw torch and drill still have them to this day the batteries unfortunately let them down far too quickly. I’m looking into adaptors at the moment to allow the old gear to run on new batteries
Do you know you can alter the tune? Plug the battery onto the charger then unplug it. Each time you do that the tune will change. From what I remember there around 4 tunes.Every time the Makita plays the ‘finished’ tune I pick up my Nokia 3110 but no one ever phones me! not even my mother!
Forgive me but I don’t use a 3110, I used this for comic effect. That was my first phone though and I do joke when the Marita plays the tune!Do you know you can alter the tune? Plug the battery onto the charger then unplug it. Each time you do that the tune will change. From what I remember there around 4 tunes.
Do you still use a 3110? They were the good old days when a charge would last for days![]()
You’d better hide that toffee hammer from the ‘real sparks’ - I used to get a right pounding for having one - good that I didn’t care, I guess!Hi - hope its open mic night here and not limited to battery powered? This week saw me move into high fashion with my new Veto manbag.

Hi - not saying it's really worth it - £70. I wanted something so I didn't have to carry the tote, as I'm working through rib injury. Don't askGo on then @Wilko , how much was it ?
Interested as to what you got it for too. Lots of small reactive jobs ?

Always remember my tutor telling us don’t go spending fortunes on side cutters and screwdrivers because I promise you you will lose em or leave em in lofts.....So far this year I have lost 2 pairs of brand new cutters, a couple of screwdrivers and a tape measure.
Add on to that the amount of lost time going back and forth to my main toolbag and all of a sudden it's looking fairly cheap.![]()

Count them in and count them out . The pleasure of having good functioning tools is better than putting up with struggling with inferior rubbish to save a few bob.Always remember my tutor telling us don’t go spending fortunes on side cutters and screwdrivers because I promise you you will lose em or leave em in ..lofts...
Is this the wee bag you’re looking for - where’ll you fit your hammer? That is why I was thinking of the wee bag for hand tools.
To make it obvious when I've left something at my backside
Not if your ScottishIf it’s secure around your manhood you’ve got it on backwards! Just saying!
To be honest I have never lost a tool,Always remember my tutor telling us don’t go spending fortunes on side cutters and screwdrivers because I promise you you will lose em or leave em in lofts.....
Once you've felt quality -you learn not to loose them !..... don’t go spending fortunes on side cutters .... I promise you you will lose em or leave em in lofts.....
Have u considered replacing the battery cells you can get them online and I find it’s a great optionI think both hilti and Milwaukee are overpriced for what they are
