Good morning,

Can I have an electrician upgrade my 240v (2) 30amp breaker water heater to a tankless water heater that is rated for 240v (2) 40amp breakers? My condo has a 100amp 240v service. So in short, can I go from (2) 30 amp breakers to (2) 40 amp breakers, wiring being upgraded of course? Thank you.

I could do it, but the air fare would make me expensive. ??

Yes. That shouldn’t be a problem but it depends on the wattage that you want. I’ve wired a 13K tankless and it took #6 wire on a 60 amp GFCI double pole breaker. It will tell you in the instructions. Good luck
