ZS testing - dangerous?

I have read somewhere that performing a zs test where there is exposed metalwork and people around can be dangerous? Is it something that has to be avoided? Or does it say anywhere that it must not be done? Should i be worried about carrying out Zs tests now? :/

Dead testing should prove that your earthing is in good condition before proceeding to live testing.
