For years I have had a PIR sensor wired to some down lighters in my porch and the sensor has stopped working as the lights are now on permanently.
I’ve bought a new pir sensor but am not sure how to wire it up.
The first two pictures show the current worn out sensor and the third photo is the new one but it only has three wires to connect to?
How do I connect this up please so that the lights only activate when movement is detected and light levels are low.
Thank you for your help.

as i see it... supply to red and black. blue is switched L to light. N to light goes in with black.what do the instructions say? should be a diagram. make sure the earth is continuous to the light/s.

No, supply L (red) is connected to brown, supply neutral (blue) to blue and the light (yellow) is connected to red. The terminals are labelled in the back of the enclosure. An earth terminal has not been provided so the earth wire needs to go in its own separate connector that you supply yourself to keep it safely out of the way.

Thanks Freddo, I understand what you are saying and it makes sense. Cheers for taking the time to help.
