I have a very old version of SimplyPats that works well. Can't comment on the latest versions really. I probably only do a couple of days testing per year so I would not be keen on buying a newer version of SimplyPats at that price!
When I worked for my Uncle, someone stole all our cable from our stores in broad daylight. It was all on CCTV, the Police caught them and we got all our cable back (about 6 months later mind). They got away with it though, apparently unsifficient evidence!!!
I have used Linux for at least ten years and have never run any Virus software.
Linux will work with hardware raid much the same as windows. Linux also provides software raid built in for standard disks. https://raid.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/RAID_setup#RAID-0

Ah yes, I do have a Brother label printer to mark up MCB's. I did mean the circuit detail list on the flap down lid (unless your label printer can do those too, mine definitely cannot).
I usually do a nice sheet in excel, pop it in a pouch and stick the pouch to the distribution board in any situation other than domestic. It always seemed a bit much for domestic though.

I'm intrigued with the circuit details sticker, where did you get them from, or did you print them yourself? I have always used Hager ever since I can remember unless something else is specced. Always have been very nice boards in my opinion.
I use librecad for simple drawings, it's free and does mostly what I want from it. IT wouldn't be good for any serious cad user though. Unfortunately it doesn't come with any symbols, you might be able to imprt symbols found from the CAD sites tazz mentions though.

Yep it probably is wasteful. It's just another size to stock I guess that's why my last employer (my Uncle) never bothered. Not sure why one day he decided to start using 1.5mm instead of 1.0mm. Maybe it was spec on a job we did and we never changed back.
