What is the definition of a "Junction Box"?

A client of ours is developing an add-on "adapter" for exit signs where wires from the adapter have to be connected to the battery wires within the exit sign as well as splicing the hot/neutral. The question was asked if by making these additional connections in the exit sign enclosure turns it...

fire exit sign

Hi been asked to fix fire exit sign over door for emergency light (non maintined) am i right in saying this would need a designated ciurcuit to it from the consumer unit ? cant seem to find info in the osg :thinking:

Non maintained exit sign?

Hi guys, hope you can help with this one, may be a stupid question, but does it state anywhere in the regs that an emergency exit sign located in an office has to be maintained, or am I safe to fit non maintained? cheers
