I just plugged in a (apparantly faulty) steamer, and all my plugs went off, but when I went to check out the consumer unit, everything was switched to "on" including both that are labelled "plugs down" and "plugs up"...... except this dial on the left which says "RCD connected circuits"...
I have to wire a ballast for a 8w fluorescent tube. Now What side does the neutral go and what side does the line go in, there is just a sinewave symbol but no "L or N" ? From learning alternating current theory at college and being a practicing electrician for the past 3 years I should know...
