Discuss Exterior conduit in hot, high humidity/wet geographic locations in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net
I've lived and worked my entire life in SoCal. Recently we moved to Southern Texas where there is a lot of rain (from a SoCal perspective) and constant high humidity.
For exterior building runs, I mostly see PVC instead of EMT. Is this just people being cheap? Or should EMT be avoided in certain geographic locations?

EMT should not be avoided, if anything PVC will look like crap and start bending if it’s to hot. Yes people are using PVC because it’s cheaper. Good luck
