Had a customer complain his inverter is reading more than the generation meter, and he was right.

The answer from Fronius was that it is an estimation and could be out by 10% which sits right with the figures I have.

Any one else experienced such a large difference or know whether this is right or a fob off?

Cheers

what model of inverter is it.i have the 3.6tl and mine was out by about 3% easy fix but just went in to the calabration and fixed it.also i had to do the same with a womans 3.6tl inverter also that was out by 2% so i would say 10% was quite high in my opinion on other hand i have read reports of the opposite the generation meter reading higher than the inverter reading

fronius inverters have an offset tab on their integral menu.

This problem arises because the kwh figure is calculated on the fronius inverter and measured on an ofgem approved meter

Also, if the meter is far away from the inverter then you may be getting losses in the cable - although 10% is a bit much.

Mines is currently exactly 10% more than the meter reading.should I be worried? And should I contact the company that did install.thanx in advance guys
