Hi everyone, thought id say hello and introduce myself.
My names matthew, aged 23, and have just started a apprenticeship with a small local company, currently on a 3 month trial to see what they think of me, and to see if i enjoy it also, after that, if they want to keep me on, they have said I will have to sign a formal contract with them.
I started my job 3 weeks ago, and love to get stuck in where I can, and ask lots of questions
So far, the jobs I have covered are sweeping up, chasing walls, first fixing back boxes, second fixing (including wiring sockets and switches), fitting and wiring up electric heaters to switched fuse spurs, fitting downlights....
Still find things quite confusing at times but im sure things will click into place as time goes on.
So hopefully, to a long and succesfull future as a electrician
