Metrel multifuction tester

I have a metrel tester and if the earth loop readings in less than 0.50 ohm it just tells you that and does not give you the correct reading can I change this ? Please help as its doing my head in. Thanks Kelvin

Nope not on loop (No trip setting) setting i am affraid. What are you testing ?

Just doing PV systems at the moment but do all domestic I had what I thought was same tester and that gave me a reading I just don't get why it will not take the trip lock of there you go

Trip lock is only for when testing with RCD'S if your testing ze then use PFC

Which Metrel are you using?

I've had my MI3000 for a few years and can't fault it.
