is the switch part of a 2 WAY SWITCH ARRANGEMENT, BUY ANY CHANCE?

is the switch part of a 2 WAY SWITCH ARRANGEMENT, BY ANY CHANCE?

What is the light fitting you have up at the moment ? Not all fittings are suitable to be frequently switched by sensor?
Also does the sensor use switching relays or solid state ones?

Lastly your sensor requires a Neutral which you probably won't have at the switch and from what you suggest you don't, this means you can't fit the sensor in its place with bringing a N from the same lighting circuit to the switch box. --- sorry to spoil your xmas

Don't ever assume blue is neutral if you can turn the lights on at different points then blue and yellow are both switch lives (strappers)

just seen your other thread. you'll need an electrician to sort this out. it's not as easy as it looks, as you have 2 way switching.

you may have been right before correction tel...

perhaps it was a buy chance...or a chance buy....

fat fingers, small keys. and that's before the lappy mouse pad jumbles it all up. keep forgetting to hit Fn-F7 to disable the bugger.

so you can't do it from the switches, the reason is that the switches do not have neutrals. so far, you've been lucky. nothing has gone pop. get a local sparks to sort it for you.

what i mean is if theres a spare one....you could utilise that as a neutral....as long as you can make it off into the neutral termination at the rose/fitting of course

If this is 2-way it could be awkward anyway depending on the other switch, now, if there was a neutral at the first switch !!!!

9/10 the only neutral is at the light fitting. and FFS, don't pinch a N off another circuit.

Forget the whole idea, you'll be very lucky if the sensor will last anywhere near year in a kitchen... That's if you manage to overcome the 2 way switching and neutral conductor problems to boot!! lol!!
