Hi all, after working in a electrical wholesaler you may all know cef then moving to yesss electrical i found a good interest in electrical work! Luckily i found myself swapping to the other side of the counter, but for the past 3 years have been led along by companies promising to sort my training and qualifications to which none have provided for yet! Found myself doing a mix of domestic and industrial work over thd past few years gaining good knowledge of fitting and with a vast knowledge of materials and been told on numerous occasions im a quick learner and suited to the trade! Ive loved working on the tools so far but realise now no one wants me to gain qualifactions more than i do myself so have paid for my own courses! I recently went down the self employed route and looking at doing subby work to local sparks while i build a customer base and qualifications! Any tips on how to progress on this would be much appreciated and any days work also! ‭

Your only way now is as you are. Keep up the training at college and sub out, you will end up getting sparks work, once you are regularly working if you are any good you will get work without any problems. Fair play to you in the fact you are trying, anyone who works hard deserves success, good luck.

Yeah just keep going, as said if you are any good you will get the work.
Oh and welcome to the forum.

Welcome aboard, it’s refreshing to have someone who’s made an effort to get qualifications and work before coming on and saying “make me an electrician”....keep up the good work ethic and you’ll do well.

On one course I heard a guy say to the teacher "You can't fail me, I paid £--- for you to teach me"
