Hi all,
Take a quick look at the attached image. Im planning on making some outside lights switch from 2 points.

First point would be via a Time Switch and Photo cell. Once the time switch comes in the cell will power as long as its dark etc. But if its dark for some reason before the time period i would like to have a manual on also.

Would the live from the switch live back to the photocell damge the cell? Would i need some form of way of stopping the current going into the switch live on the cell?

Thanks

In theory it will work, the photo cell has all it's working between permanant live and neutral, the switched live is just that a switch. That said i'd check with the manufacturer, or see if you can find the instructions some where that will allow the cell to be used in parallel with anoth cell.
