A lot of hard work, big outlay of cash upfront, cashflow problems with vat and industry uncertaintity with many installers being worried about going out of business if the Fit is slashed as much as rumour has it. A reasonable business if Fit rates aren't slashed but not the cash cow many think it is.
in a nutshell:
the DC side:
install panels, connect to dc isolator, connect to inverter.
the AC side:
from consumer unit, generation meter, to ac isolator to inverter.
extra isolators can be used depending on location of inverter / consumer units.
a training course is the way forward, better to get in now before the green deal comes in and the training gets streamlined. One training college at the installer live said that my bpec course was non compliant. I told him to go multiply.
Many exhibitors at InstallerLive made some rather spurious claims.
Best advice is contact your scheme provider, they will ultimately decide if you comply with the MCS requirements, and they will provide you with accreditation.
Check the link below for who can confirm compliance.
Install of radial power circuit compliant with regs.
MCB or spilt tails via Shower type C/U, A/C rotary isolator, generation meter, radial power, further A/C isolator local to inverter, test and notify under Part P....done job.
