ask the dno , they'll have their own (daft) regs i imagine.

however , if no-one was looking i'd probably use the same trench and put a couple of inches of sand / soil between the cables

so as soon as the joints done put the cable in.
you'll have at least 3-4 days before the digging team comes to back fill , and they wont give a crap about how many cables are in the trench.

I don't suppose it would be an issue so long as its not touching, might be worth checking with the DNO just encase.
 
Is it ok to run a swa submain in a trench with the dno supply cable or do they need to be separated?
why not?...its a case of if theres adequate insulation for the highest voltage present....n all that lot...
 
The Dno normally spec their cable to be ducted, if it is then throw yours in next to the duct, no sweat
 
run them together. it'll be a rare occurence for DNO to have warning tape over their cable for a change.
