Morning guys, another one for you guys that carry out EICR's. When filling in report for "current using equipment (permanently connected)", what does that actually refer to? Does it refer to appliances only ie cookers etc? Thanks
 
im assume it's for any hard wired equipment that can't be unplugged.cookers, showers etc.

Anything that consumes power and isn't plugged in, ie cooker, immersion heater, panel heaters etc, But these items are covered by IHITEE (PAT) at least I think that's the right way to say it

Section I'm referring to is on the NICEIC forms, possibly not on other EICR forms. But yes, I'm thinking on same lines as you.

Well they are a law unto themselves trying to pass off the IET regs to the public as if they had written them.

I like Tony Cable, he has the best interests of our industry. What a top bloke, why are you slagging him off? For safety and customer service the NIC are second to none!

Tony cable is not very popular on this forum so maybe it is not a good idea to declare your love for him around here jmo
