Metal Tool Box or Alternatives

I’ve been looking on eBay for a new tool box. My Stanley one has cracked. I’ve seen this. But I’m not sure about the depth of the draws for hand tools:

I'm not sure there's any advice to offer about toolboxes which hasn't previously been posted in response to your questions.

There are bomb proof toolboxes available, but you seem reluctant to buy one. I guess the best advice is to buy whatever takes your fancy and either decide to sell it on or use it until it breaks and try again. In the process you'll gain firsthand knowledge about a wide range of options.

I have the two drawer version of the Talco tool chest and its full of mechanical tools i.e spanners etc, its too heavy to lift or be any use outside the garage, except for the internal tote tray.

i try my best to only carry what I need for the job in hand with a couple screwdrivers and cutters in my new tool vest

The DeWalt TStak drawers are quite shallow so prevent overloading, the problem is the large case type have access only from the top, so if staked as the name suggest, everything above has to be removed to allow the case to open, still find the Fluke MFT case the best seat for lunch.
