Right then, will remember that next time instead of the Schneider range, Hager and so on that they aren't suitable for the job lol

Schneider and hager are the same company, they are ok but in my opinion don't really have the same quality as MEM. Each to there own though. TLC don't stock any of them do they?

Sorry, Schneider and merlin gerin are the same company, not hager. Hager is good as we'll in my opinion, just not MEM.

Yes but they only stock low quality products. They've never heard of MEM 3 phase boards, and they should be the first choice for any commercial electrician.

TLC may not stock a full range of kit for commercial work, but if you're saying that Hager 3 phase boards, for example, are low quality, I'd disagree.

I have no idea if TLC do stock them, but they are available from virtually all trade counters.

Local independents x 3 for 90% of my gear. They are always keen on prices and eager to price match, unlike most chain wholesalers.
Bits and bobs from toolstation, edmundsons, and occasionally screwfix/electricfix.

Have tried Yesss but my local one is appalling for customer service.
CEF and Neweys are just too pricey and stock flimsy garbage.

Wow I'm going to TLC tomorrow to see what I'm missing!

No need. Just browse the website.

Maybe not so good for commercial and industrial, but a good range for domestic. You can see exactly what your getting on the website and how much you're going to pay. Usually get a little extra discount, depending on how much you order at one time.

They deliver to me twice a week (I'm a bit out in the sticks), so if you plan your jobs, there's no time wasted driving or queuing. Very rare for something listed on the website not to be available within a day or so.

Been into Wickes a couple of times recently - they have a fully loaded Wylex hi integrity board for a reasonable price!

This thread is now closed, the poll has been created here: http://www.electriciansforums.co.uk...ctrical-suppliers-electrical-wholesalers.html - feel free to add more electrical suppliers and electrical wholesalers to the new thread, we'll keep this old one closed.

I. Don't understand why you would go to TLC or QVS? Aren't they for DIY?

If I can buy what I need at TLC or QVS at a good price, why wouldn't I use them? I more or less only do domestic work, and they stock many of the brands I use regularly - for example Wylex CUs, Crabtree accessories. It is far more important for me to be able to price up a job or order parts online and know what I'll pay.

The only relevant one would be RS Components but only about 2 or 3% of our spend. Their range is very good as is their service and deliveries but their prices can be somewhat rude.
