    About to take the plunge and buy my first multifunction tester I was drawn to the Megger 1720 but have read a load of posts listing problems with the new 1700 series....... have Megger sorted this out or are you still finding problems??     Does anyone know if the Megger CM400 has an auto RCD test facility?Its hard to tell from the data sheet if its the CM400 or CM500 that does,or both.

    Can a multifunction tester kill you?

    A quick zap with the 500v IR tester isn't too bad, but what happens if you get yourself with the RCD test? 150mA is more than enough to kill you, should I be worried about accidentally RCD testing myself?!
