Hi folks, client has asked for upgrade of MCBs to RCBOs on split board to bring up to speed. Upstairs and downstairs lighting currently unprotected and there's no 2 way on the stairs. If I upgrade to RCBO, is there a reg that I need to refer to about the absence of a 2 way? They don't want one...

Hi guys,
I am quite new to all this and I have a number of questions running through my head. One of them being.....
Do most RCBO's fit into the space occupied by an MCB to enable that circuit to be RCD protected as I have seen posts to suggest this might be possible? (Of course this would be...

My local supplier is selling CGD RCBOs for £10.99 +VAT each and insulated 8 way consumer unit for £17.99 +VAT. Does anyone know if these are any good or complete carp? I usually use Crabtree gear but customer wants all RCBOs but doesn't want to pay a fortune out as it's a rental property
Hi
when i try to test an RBCO at the DB it trips as soon as the test probes touch the terminals, this only seems to happen with Bill/MEM RCBOs, it doesnt happen with Merlin or Square D. I'm using a standard Robin RCD tester. Any idea why???
Hi folks
Just tested a convent/nursing home for nuns
found some long ring circuits frotected by 32A Type C RCBOs, the max Zs allowable is 0.72, but i was getting readings between 0.83 and 0.98.
Are these readings acceptable because of the use of RCBOs, i.e. does it matter what the reading is...
Hi to all
Ive got a small problem on a job that ive just about finished and ready to handover.
Background; bed & breakfast chalets with compact florescent recessed spot lights protected by Protek RCBOs.

Hi iv been ask to replace to some bill rcbo's, mounted in a bill 3 phase board.
does any one know where i can get these or what brands would fit the board?
the rcbos and 2 way wide, it would be ideal if i could find some that would only take up 1 way.
Hello as above really, looking for something with some space inside so can make a tidier job of dressing cables. Quoting for a job that will have 12 RCBOs fitted needing to leave a few spare ways. Wasn't too happy with the last one with the neutral and functional earth fly leads in there too (9...
I have been testing an installation with lot of RCBOs recently and found that a significant proportion of them will pass at 30mA fail at 5X30mA.
SO FAR:
Tests have been repeated several times over a year and the same ones fail at 150ms but pass at 30ms,
Most other RCBS pass without problem...
Just a general question to those of you who have got RCBOs and MCBs from Meteor Electrical, (The forum sponser) as to which consumer units you have fitted them to other than the ones supplied by them.
Don't want to order up some then find they don't want to fit properly then have to start...
Hi Guys,
Has anyone had the pleasure of testing the new wylex rcbo's? Im subbying at the mo for a big firm doing rewires for a big housing association. They use wylex rcbo's for every circuit, around 8 circuits per house and I'm contracted to test all 120 houses ( around 10 a week ). The only...
