    Contencious - is solar worth while

    My brother is seriously considering having solar panels on his house. The roof is facing south, south west, and is not obstructed. How would he be able to decide if its worth it or not?? Yes this sounds a daft statement!! He lives in the Leighton Buzzard area.

    While I am asking basic question - here is 1 more

    What protection does a CU main switch offer? Is it just a switch or does it offer overload protection too? I have asked a few sparks, and every one said it offers overload. When pressed for what would cause it to disconnect they did not know. So anyone know anything about this?
