Thanks Loz.4.8kW is around 21 amps. 3.7kW is around 16 amps. I'm not sure where you are getting those figures from.
Also, 6mm² flat twin and CPC cable is able to carry 47 amps, but only if clipped direct.
If it's in trunking, or passes through any insulation for any of its length, then it can severely reduce the capacity to well below 40 amps. It may be necessary to replace the 40 amp breaker with a 32 amp breaker.
That being said, after applying diversity that is normally allowed for cooking appliances, the total load would work out at around 18 amps.
