Hello
I’m refitting my bathroom after in 2005 some builders did a fairly poor job of it. They even built a wall off the shower tray causing all the tiles to fail and the floor to rot. ?
My question relates to bonding. There was bonding on the hot and cold supply that went up a pedestal basin and that bonding linked to a radiator too (well it did, the builders spark just left that bit it in the wall).
I’ve since relocated the hot and cold supply (in copper) for the basin into what will be a built in unit, accessible by a top lid. For the radiator, I’ve cut the pipes and fitted a JG plastic run which will go to the radiator. I’ve made sure the plastic connections can be accessed under the bath panel should those joins ever need inspection.
the question I have is do I need to restore the bonding on the copper pipes? The main consumer unit is relatively old but has RCD protection on all the circuits but not individually/RCBOs etc. Main water supply and hot is bonded in kitchen. System is a gravity fed system with conventional boiler.
Any advice would be most appreciated
