Here's my vote... sorry, split decision
Grrrgh, you have to amend the voting odds, i.e. 1/1 to 1/2. Never been to the bookies!

Lol. I see the humour in this guys. Yes place your bets. Hopefully he find the cause and the fault when he comes . You have 24 hours from now to post your bet lol
i might be dead by then.Sparkey has been. very nice chap.
Coming back later next week. Booked in for a few hours with test equipment. As was on the way home so wanted to see what the problem was.
So place your bets for next week.
What happens when a part p 17th edition qualified electrician does the job,
Agree, Karl you need to realise part P is a building regulation, and 17th edition qualification is an open book qualification, both of these "courses" are designed to enhance a qualified experienced Electrician's knowledge, they do not make the person sitting these courses an Electrician, it makes those people that think it does into a dangerous combination, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. There is no such thing. Part P is not a qualification.
Blimey Tel I'm going on a course next week with Age UK on how to deal with OAPs and computor email scams, when I come back perhaps the Mods will ask me to sort out the Oriental invasion on this Forum.i just done a 5 day course on how to cut with a scalpel. now i'm a qualified brain surgeon, but can only work on domestic customers. an additional course to work on bankers, solicitors, and estate agents is available at no extra cost.
Honestly? crikey I spent most of it.just be aware pete, the £3m inheritence you got from nigeria is a scam.

I think it would be wise to get another sparky to clap eyes on it it sounds like there could be something else going on here the spark could do a couple of measurements to see the exact current that the RCD trips at and go from there having not seen it I suspect either an issue with the wiring to the flouros or maybe as someone else has said cumulative leakage current is causing this tripping.sorry , no test kit , just pressed it and it resets . i think i might need to get a electrician in as its very annoying this ,
the thing is my parents garage has the same set up but has a old style plastic 10 way consumer unit in the garage with exactlty the same set up with lights etc and there is no issues with the rcd tripping out .
^^ how did this electrician document his time and tests?
