Hi all, have taken an interest in this forum. There is a wealth of info on here. It's an excellant service.
Just some background on myself: Have recently moved to London and being unexpectedly made unemployed. I was working in a non-electrician job. I am however a qualified sparks having got my papers in Ireland and an now looking for work as an electrician (I know you probably think there is a slim chance of getting anything. . Left with little choice as I won't find employment in other area that I was working in).
Haven't worked as sparks for over 7 years now. Am planning on taking the 17th edition so I can then apply for a JIB card (I hope I'm correct in this assumption).
I do need to brush up on my electrical knowledge...like I said I've got my Irish papers and have worked on domestic and industrial installations. My electrical knowledge can definitely do with improvement. Can someone recommend a refresher course that I could do. Thanks for any replies

Many thanks Jason, have found forum a good source already, for many questions that have come to my mind and needed answering
