Hi Guys

Thought I'd update my ECS Jib Gold card (not that I really need it these days), only expired in 2015!
Looks like I'll have to do new application.

Sorry if been asked before (and also being lazy, had quick scan of JIB website with no joy!)

All I'd like to know is:

I currently have 'approved' status, is it still the same is there approved or equivalent? And what docs do I need to get this second time round if so (have all usual NVQ3, 2391, 18th)

Thanks Sy

I think that's all you need, apart from the H&S exam of course, which will be problematic or not available right now.
Easiest way to do it is make a MyECS account on their website and email them scanned copies of your certs.

Just noticed my card expired in April but having logged into my account they have extended the expiry for three months due to covid19.
Just been looking into if and when you can do the H&S assessment but every provider for it is currently shut down, as expected.

This was the e-mail I got back from the JIB when I asked about it:

"Good morning Richard

"Thanks for your email.

"If you did wish to renew your card, you would need to have a valid health and safety awareness, we are unable to process any applications without it.

"If you do wish to try and book or be put on the waiting list, you can contact certsure on 01582 531 047 or visit ECS Health And Safety Assessment - Unite The Union - https://unitetheunion.org/why-join/member-services/education/ecs-health-and-safety-assessment/

"Kind regards"

So it appears to me that there is no way to currently renew a card as the H&S assessment cannot be sat.
