can any one help i have to do a peroidic inspection on new property aprox 1 year old wired with a 17th mains the main gas bond is in place but the water bond is not. the incomnig pipe is palstic and then it changes to a metal stopcok and then to copper the copper then goes into the wall. it is also copper in the bathroom and also in the immersion cupboard.as there are still houses being built on the site i asked at the site office for more info on the instalation and was told that its a plastic pipe instalation .as i cant prove this with out pulling up the floors should i bond the water?

THe answer to that question wayne 1 is to test back to the Met with your R2 wander lead and if the reading to the pipework is less than 22kohms then its an extraneous conductive part and will require Main Bonding.------isolate any cpcs to immersion etc whilst testing.
