I agree in those circumstances a higher rate per circuit is required. but for a well labelled board tested 5 years ago, mainly raidials in an open plan type factory, £8/ circuit is easily justifiable and certainly does not make me a 'Polak'

Maybe your thinking of london rates...

I would think that £11.50/ Circuit is reasonable if the circuits are easily traceable or if there is previous certification on hand. I I this is not the case I would be looking at charging between £14-£16/ Circuit (3 Phase charged at the same rate as Single Phase), this is time consuming work (including the paperwork that follows) and generally in factory situations the purchase order to be raised for any rectification works is along winded process

If you price a 240 circuit job at one circuit per hour.. £20/hour =£4800 I can guarantee you will never have an eicr to carry out!

What you need to decide is if you value yourself at more than a window cleaner ?

We do commercial testing for between £22 and £32 a circuit, and I can guarantee I have work.

£8 per circuit is a joke if your running your own business on that then
hopefully you will be out of business before long.

how are the decent lads/ companies meant to survive on those costs going in
so your employing proper electricians for that sort of money and getting a full days work ? Forgetting insurances , stamp, holiday pay, petrol , van maintenance, office running costs , test sheets oh and the time involved pricing and filling out the EICR sheets

Or are you running your business on a wing and a prayer using lads that have sat on the bus next to a spark

get a grip man bet your the type that slings in work to justify your prices leaving the rest of us to pick up the pieces and put a decent job in.

Ive sat a few times and looked at this reply and to be honest im amazed at what i see are you an electrician ?

Weekend working for 5 men at £8per circuit is absolutley unbelievable
