Been to job today.... property about 15 years old - standard 2 up/2down wimpey style home

And consumer unit was located upstairs on bedroom floor (boxing round it)...?

Never seen one in this sort of location before, anyone else?:rolleyes:
 
Yeah gods what the sparks were thinking when they originally installed it.... must have a couple of jars the night before:D Nothing like struggling

unless it was downstairs before in the living room and they moved it,seen a few in the living rooms butt up to the ceiling,it doesnt look nice..:eek:
 
I would wonder if it was in an area prone to flooding

I heard something recently that this may become the norm in flood areas that cutouts meters and CU's could / would be mounted upstairs to keep them away from the flood waters
