took this picture at my gym you would think this would get sorted what with it being a public place I will have to award it a C1

Re: Where ate the maintenance sparks

Really really random.

I like the way you say award, like it's won a prize.

Where ate the maintenance sparks

I told the gym manager I will be back Monday and if it isn't sorted I will do it myself and send an invoice

Re: Where ate the maintenance sparks

Is it ever used? I'd love to watch someone plugging/unplugging something :)

Re: Where ate the maintenance sparks

over the weekend spray-paint the socket flourescent pink - that'll teach them for not having it done before.

Where ate the maintenance sparks

There are loads of these pillars all with sockets on them some with less damage some with no damage but I would have thought metal would be a better option in this situation

Re: Where ate the maintenance sparks

Who ate the maintenance sparks? ( you need to turn your predictive off unless someone really ate him ) then that would be random

Haha, random but also hilarious. I can imagine glenn doing something like that when he's in his gypo bashing mood. :38:

Yeah they would - but people don't think these things through when they're installing stuff.

Also, i'd love to know how they get so badly damaged. I mean you could argue its a gym with heavy machinery...but who the F is chucking weights at sockets.

And there was me thinking this could be something interesting about training maintenance electricians.

What do I find? A broken socket!

Did you report it? Is it in the gym’s H&S log? If you did, does it need a thread on here?

I'd give it a C3, most people who use Gyms wouldn't know what a socket outlet is and if they did stick their fingers in it, who cares?!

Yeah but, if a fault meets a fault, it's a bit like two wrongs make a right, therefore, on reflection, no code whatsoever.

'Accidentally' drop your water bottle next to the socket so it wets the floor, and scream, then complain that you've just got a shock off it, and think the HSE would be interested to see it. That should get it fixed quite quickly, hopefully with a metal-clad one.
