Which driver for this downlight?

Hi all, I hope you're well!

I managed to get the attached downlight cheap from IKEA. I didn't realise the led transformer and leads were so expensive as I only need one of these lights.

I've taken a picture of the label showing the specs. Is there a simple LED driver I can safely connect this to which then allows me to plug it directly into the mains?

you need a 240V a.c. - 24V d.c. power supply. similar to:

cut off the 24V plug. making sure you know which is + and -.

I mean the official Ikea one is expensive as it allows you to link up loads of these lamps. I only need the one.

Hi guys, sorry to be a pain. The one linked above is out of stock and searching for something similar on Amazon is around £50 and I'm not sure it's even the right thing. Is there a recommended product on Amazon that should do the job?

difficultt to say. most drivers have a minimum load wattage or they won't output .

ahh I see what you mean. I can't find any on Amazon that have lower outputs... Not sure whether to give this one a go or not.

Any thoughts or other suggestions on Amazon?

Hi guys! I tried that one from Screwfix however it doesn't work. I'm guessing as it's a 12v and the label on the light says 24v. Should any 24v LED transformer work? Amazon have loads!

It looks like you need a constant voltage 24V LED driver that can operate at 2W.
Some drivers cannot operate at low wattage (most can) so look for the minimum wattage specification. This or this one appears to meet the specification but I have no knowledge of the supplier or quality of the parts.

If you have a receipt then get a refund and buy something nicer.
