I have just got an apprenticeship and I have some tools given to me from a friend but there is still a few that I need to get. Where is the best place to some decent tools. I am happy to get some second hand tools if there is any websites that sell second hand tools.

I normally research what I’m after to see what they review like, and then shop around online to find the best price.

sometimes tools come up on here for sale at a decent price from other forum members.

You need DustyDazzlers tool emporium !!

Keep an eye on local Facebook free ads sites and the like, I've had some bargains from those in the past.

eBay is well worth keeping an eye on for hand tools like cutters , screwdrivers , grips etc etc

maybe list what you think you need and we can tailor the advice. on occasions aldi, wickes and lidl have vde drivers at a fraction of the cost of top brands.

Amazon is my go-to for stuff or was

Amazon UK to Ireland is messed up now because of Brexit so anything expensive you have to use Amazon EU

And keep off this site

I've got a list of tools a page long that i need since I joined

Milwaukee 7-in-1, CK strippers and a load of stuff

Stuff I never heard of before

Remember, you can never have enough tools. They’re like Pokémon, you gotta collect them all. ??

£169 Inc VAT.

Good solid tool bag and the essentials.

Might be worth a look.

I’m surprised nobody has suggested the back of someone else’s van, yet ??

Don't give people ideas Mate, anyone goes near my tools, expect retribution in it's severest form. missing fingers or hands depending on the severity, mind you messing with someones lively hood is the lowest crime. Don't lend em out they are yours to use and look after, Ive seen butchered tools that have been lent out, sorry about the damage mate, no offer of replacement, someone want's a certain tool tell him to buy one of his own.

For a budget the Magnusson stuff from Screwfix is bang on, you can pick up 12 drivers for 15 quid. Sturdy, nice big handles, do the job.

My go to is Amazon because it's usually cheapest.

Knipex cutters, pliers, etc.

Stanley when it comes to tapes, levels (along with Stabila), knives, bag, etc.

DeWalt for powertools.

Gedore or Facom for drivers.

Makita are the go-to if you want rubbish batteries, chucks that fail and a horrible grip that gives you blisters. 😉
So hard to know these days, it changes so fast
