Dritherm cavity batts are a perfectly acceptable form of insulation.
This type of insulation is known as full fill and is a standard building
system. There is no need for clips and it wont transmit damp from outside to inside.

Looking at all those pics I'd say that the electrics are only half of your worries. The building work is shyte as well. If the work you CAN see is that bad gawd knows what the hidden stuff is like.

Regardless of who is at fault over cable positions, that ceiling won't be worth a ---- as a soundproofed ceiling, by the time you've finished poking 30 odd holes in it to fish cables through.

Why not use conduit and singles for the complete run if possible. Save all that fannying about with ip rated boxes and no joints. Also a lot easier to pull singles through conduit as well.
