Trying to do a cable calculation to determine the most suitable cable to be used. But l am unsure what to do with the figures in the 17th edition because after 16mm cable onwards there are 3 columns under volt dropr, x, and z. Can anybody show me the calculation which l need to do to determine the correct cable which l require.

Looking to install a 3-phase 100Amp distribution Circuit. Using either 70 or 90 degrees SWA. The cable will be run in the ground and will have atotal length of 170 meters and will be protected by BS88 fuses.

Thanks.

If you’re wanting someone to work it out for you, you can think again.

The preceding pages to the tables tell you what the various columns are for.
