ECS Card problems...are they just a waste of space or is it me

Hi All,

I tried the "online" quicker method of updating my ECS card as I wanted my shiny new qualifications adding.

after six weeks I looked online it says "waiting for qualified supervisor approval". So I asked why as the approval had gone from a director....no response

After 8 weeks, sent email and web enquiry asking for update.....no response...called.. JIB switchboard answered, transferred the call....just kept ringing

After 11 weeks, I asked to remove qualified supervisor status if that was the delay....no response....called.. JIB switchboard answered, transferred call....just kept ringing

After 13 weeks I am still without a card and I have just sent more emails and web-enquires and tried to call, this time cut-off

Anyone else have similar issues with these jokers or can you suggest anything?

Best advice is wait till 3-6 months left on card and claim you lost it. Feel free to update it at same time as well

My ecs test certificate has run out but i cant be bothered to update it i mean why do you need to sit exactly the same pointless 15min test every two years?. The ecs cards are a bit of a joke really they just dont repsond and dont give a damn,you always ending speaking to someone who knows nothing about the industry but just reads off a factsheet that is set out in front of them.
