Hi all,
I worked as a junior electrician basically just gaining exsperience, on a domestic level and some commercial, later on they funded me to do my part p, 17th edition, electrical building regs, and also have a logic certified domestic installer card, and 2391 and 2392, initial verification and periodic inspection and testing. My issue is I am applying for new jobs, and most are asking for level2 and 3 electrotechnical Certs, just wondered if anyone had any advice on what to do whether to do these qualifications or do I have enough to be taken on with what I have now?, the jobs I am mainly applying for are just inspection and testing, I can't get JIB graded because I'm not NVQ level 3, so I can't go down that route either, anyone got and other certifications I can do?, any advice is welcomed.

Cheers Joell

Speak to them about your qualifications and experience before applying, employers want a decent spark and in my opinion the NVQ 3 just proves that you can pose for photos, CSCS or ECS will be essntial though if you intend to do site work
