Interesting. But something tells me you'll have to test an awful lot of kit for it to pay for itself.
 
It's about £110 only had a quick glance, looks like it tests lamps via a telescopic arm, test pins and ballast
 
Not too bad, but a trial period would be useful.
 
Looks like a useful bit of kit, but seeing as it seems to something new to us all, you would think they would at least put a youtube video up to show how it works.

I use this rule of thumb when testing fluorescent fittings.
Remove cover. If there is a brown crispy bit, replace it. If there is more than one brown crispy bit, replace the fitting.

I've got the martindale and it's fantastic. don't touch the tip though unless u like pain!
great for testing son, sox and halides.
problem with fluos is that the tester can illuminate the gas but the filaments at the end caps could be duff.
can't go wrong for 40 quid though.
