Hi i was just wondering if it was possible to put the end of a kettle lead onto a figure 8 power lead? I moved into a property which has the cables going through the wall for the tv. My tv does not take the figure of 8 lead but the kettle lead.

I think not as the lead pictured above is normally for double insulated equipment which should not be earthed, whereas your tv has a kettle lead because it must be earthed.
 
Sounds like it may be a good idea to get a socket installed behind the television, i assume there is is an existing socket on the other side of the wall, the new socket may be able to go back to back with this. A local electrician will ba able to give you price and advice, there may be someone local on the forum.
