bloody tester is not playing ball when it comes to saving results, nulling out test lead resistances or recalling memory....

just spent several hours arsin about with it and getting to the point where i`ll throw it at the wall....

nearly new tester that hasn`t done any real work...anyone else had crap like this of em?

another reason why i'll stick to my trusted megger. :17:

i`l teck it into metrels at normanton...let steve have a look at it...caus it aint rite...

i thought it may just be a bit of strey voltage flyin about in there but it aint clearing/settling down...so they can have a look at it but if they start wanting a load of cash for it then i`l chuck it on a fire....

Yep, my mft is going back to Metral for calibration. Giving me some strange readings on Ze on TT systems against other meters.

I've had trouble with mine over the years and new leads and batteries normally sort it out. It's not come out of a cold van into a warm room by any chance?
no...i know about that one stan....blowing resistors...lol...

same for any instrument though is that one....

no...what its doing is when i come to null out test lead resistances it starts altering the measurement at the top of the screen...like it jumps from R1...to R2...then
R1 R2 and so on....then when it comes to recalling memory its arsin about....

it may just be the firmware that needs upgrading....

i went on metrels website and into the firmware section...but when i wanted to download the firmware all i got was a load of ads and a toolbar.....there was some rubbish about being asked to fill out a survey....then some stuff about how i`d won summat and i had to fill out this thing to get my prize...

it took me ages to dump all that shyte out of the PC...including the toolbar i didn`t want/need and something that kept asking me if i wanted to buy summat.....

I am on my 3rd set of leads for my metrel eurotest . think when the time comes I will be looking for a different make, also won't recharge my batteries so I have to keep replacing batteries which is a pain.

What's the saying, "Плохой поясы всегда обвиняет его инструменты." :ciappa:

it aint the leads...nor the batteries....these would be the first things i`d check on any instrument...no..its the unit....
doing my head in...and i wasn`t happy either about going onto metrels website and having to download nonsense about surveys and listen to `do i want to buy summat`...i can tell you...
