Was sent to another building in Manchester today to carry out some testing when I got there was given a metrel instal test 61557 type my first thoughts were this looks a bit old but hey it was calibrated so off I went as the day went on I thought what a good piece of kit does anyone else still use these or have used them in the past your thoughts please

Not the most reliable result wise and a bit slow, Zs with RCD is a bit hit and miss but it can be calculated anyway!

Ohm I no there's probably better meters but as long as its calibrated the meter doesn't lie never had any unusual readings or behaviour with the meter today found it simple to use

I use a Metrel mi3000 and its great to be honest although its the cheapest new one on the market.
I have also used the Megger 1552 (i think) and found that very easy.

Might not use it again it was just given to me to use when I attended site today have you had one yourself in the past ohm
