Hi, Just wanted some thoughts on a job Ive finished and am getting ready to issue certificate.
The job was to electrically seperate an 2 storey annexe from the main house for the purpose of renting out the annexe area.
A sub mains was run to new board in annexe, the lighting leg from the main house board to the first point on the annexe lighting circuit was removed and a new leg from new board now picks up the lighting circuit.
The ring circuit was isolated from the sockets in the new installation and new legs to the ring were run.
So there is existing cabling from point to point of the lighting circuit, and existing cabling on point to point of the ring main, the first legs of each feed for these circuits are newly installed.
A condition report of the existing main house was not carried out apart from supply characteristics and earthing arrangements.
Is my cert a straight forward EIC ? how would you go about documenting the use of existing wiring?
Any opinions greatly appreciated :)
