Guess who will be doing all the high bay lighting in aircraft hangers and cold cathode (replacement for neon) lighting on multistories then.

Welcome, lots of threads on your predicament, my advice would be to sign up for the long haul, forget them £6k short courses. Good luck.

Hi matey,

I went the domestic installer route personally.
In hind site these short courses don't offer enough depth.

If I was to do it again I'd start with the NVQ3 that places are offering.
Apparently you can do it at your own pace and has a maximum time limit of a couple a years or so for completion.

I'm doing C&G 2391 - Inspection and testing at the moment but after that I'll be doin the NVQ.

Bit of a backwards step some might say but it can't do any harm.

Neil.

Which part of Essex are you in?
Havering College in Romford do some electrical courses.
The administration is a bit shambolic, but the actual courses and tutors aren't too bad.
