They are good, nice effort. I dont suppose you can do a version that works on a Mac, or do they work on a Mac anyway.
I paid £24 last year for a CD with all that on and not nearly as good looking as your's.

scheme providers do not get the certs, you hold a copy and a copy given to client, all you do upon completion is inform your scheme the work is done (usually a internet tool giving details of job, addess etc) so as long as the forms are to bs7671 then they comply.

Nic do not have a problem, as you say, as long as they're 7671 forms.

Have had a look at them and they are very similar to the NIC forms which they have copyrighted so they may not be to happy about that.

I was making the point that the niceic don't mind you using other certificates and not theirs, whether you copy theirs is a different matter. But seeing as theirs is based on the example in bs7671 and so are the op's, then they are bound to look similar.

I know that all forms are based on BS7671 but what I am saying is that the NIC and Steves are very similar and that the NIC could in theory say that he has copied theirs and is in breach of their copyright.

As far as I am aware, the NIC copyright is in regards to their logo and NIC specific stuff. If you look at other certs availabe and cets from software, they all look like mine

If you can view a PDF on a Mac, then you can use the certs

I've made very similar ones in word. Can I ask how you made these Steve? I don't use pdfs, I'm assuming you made them in adobe or something? I found making them in word to be very difficult and time consuming and there are still some things I'm not happy with.

I used Adobe LiveCycle to make the certs, comes with the full Adobe package. HTH

Thanks Steve, just what I was looking for as the NIC package is a bit too expensive for someone just starting out.
Can I generate my own certificate numbers? You have to purchase the certificate numbers from the NIC if you are using their certificate software.
I don't suppose you have a minor works certificate as well?

I'm sure these certificates will be welcomed by, and used by many sparks, who find reading their own scribbles difficult,never mind the reciever of those masterpieces
